The Importance Of Being Idle

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING IDLE (N. Gallagher)
WRITTEN: During one of the 3 or 4 months layoffs whilst recording the album (2005). (Noel, Radio 2 - 24th May 2005)
DEMO: Confirmed. In circulation.
RECORDED: Recorded by Jan 'Stan' Kybert at Wheeler End, Wycombe, Bucks.
COMMENTS: Imspired by book called 'TIOBI' - famous quote by famous people about how having nothing to do is the greatest thing in the world. Intro maybe nicked from The La's. Noel's favourite song of his wrote in the last few years. Album version is the demo and they couldn't be arsed to re-record it, in the true spirit of the song. Most interesting song on the record says Noel. (Noel, XFM 30.5.05). Features a £50 quid keyboard bought from Ebay. (Andy, EPK 2005). Noel was rooting in the garage one day and he found the book and he thought "i am so thieving that title". (Noel, 4music, 3rd June 2005)
OTHERS: Produced by Noel Gallagher. Mixed by Dave Sardy at The Village, Los Angeles, CA. Drums by Zak Starkey.
